Израиль наплевал на американское эмбарго

Израиль – единственное государство, согласившееся продать Индии ракеты для защиты авианесущих кораблей ВМФ, несмотря на эмбарго, наложенное Соединенными Штатами на продажу оружия этой стране. Речь идет об антиракетах типа «море-море» «Барак». Об этом сообщил вчера глава управления личного состава индийского ВМФ в интервью индийскому ТВ.
Ракета «Барак» - это совместная разработка концерна авиапромышленности и фирмы РАФАЭЛ. По словам индийского военного, общая сумма контракта на поставку антиракет, заключенного несколько месяцев назад, около 300 миллионов долларов.

Powerful, Immune Track Guidance Radar
BARAK-1 performance is further enhanced by a state-of-the-art, advanced X and Ka bands, coherent pulse Doppler fire control radar. This radar has an extremely powerful signal and data processing capability that has been optimized for defense against all anti-ship threats, particularly sea-skimming missiles.

Effective Large Kill Envelope
BARAK-1 incorporates an advanced blast fragmentation warhead that is optimized for penetration and detonation of enemy missiles. The warhead weight exceeds 22% of the 98 kg total missile weight - an unprecedented ratio in missile technology, giving BARAK-1 an effective large kill envelope, and highest lethality against both soft and hard skin targets.

High Precision Targeting
BARAK-1 features a unique adaptive proximity fuse with a smart altimeter. This unprecedented sub-system allows unusually effective low level engagements.

Multiple Threat Capability
BARAK-1 incorporates a very short automatic engagement cycle that facilitates engagement of multiple threats, "wave" and "stream" attacks. The system also has an alternative semi-automatic mode that enables effective "Man-in-the-Loop" operation.

Писания журноламеров

Никакого международного "эмбарго", на поставку оружия Индии, уважаемый Vadim, нету. Есть чисто американские внутреннее эмбарго, введенное после индийских ядерных испытаний. Так что Израиль к этому не имеет отношения.

А ЗРК "Барак" будет установлен на "Вираате". А в дальнейшем, возможно - при модернизации на ЭМ советской постройки пр.61МЭ.

Его, кажись, мы Индии продали, я постил фотку. Приятель, кстати, пишет статейку как они через Атлантику ходили. Простенькая будет, но "изнутри"! :).
