November 2, 2003 Release Number: 03-11-02C FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE 1ST ARMORED DIVISION SOLDIER DIES FROM WOUNDS BAGHDAD, Iraq – A 1st Armored Division soldier died at approximately 3:45 a.m. Nov. 2 from wounds sustained from an improvised explosive device explosion in Baghdad. The soldier’s vehicle struck an IED shortly after 12 a.m. Nov 2 while responding to a separate incident. The wounded soldier was evacuated to the 28th Combat Support Hospital. The soldier’s name is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
