Re: Всё же...

On 17 April 1945, the town came under the attack of the Soviet 104th Rifle Division. A special assault group of Soviet soldiers disguised in German uniforms and civilian clothes, reached the town’s center via drainage channels. After furious fighting, the German defenders (elements of the 9. SS-Panzer Division "Hohenstaufen") began retreating over the Mura via the Radkersburg’s bridge to Gornja Radgona in what is today Slovenia. As soon as the last German units crossed the bridge a group of SS engineers, personally officered by the commander of the 9th SS-Panzerpionier Battalion, SS-Sturmbannfuhrer Hans Moller, decided to blow the six aerial bombs placed under the bridge (a total of 300 kg of explosives), and the bridge along with them.
